Dubai’s higher-education sector includes locally established universities and international branch campuses. Institutions may follow British, American, Australian, Indian or other academic structures, so the same student can qualify for one university but not another.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

For direct entry into a bachelor’s degree, an international student normally needs to have completed the level of secondary education that grants university entry in the relevant school system. For Zimbabwean applicants, this usually means presenting O-Level and A-Level results, although each institution decides how it evaluates the qualification.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements

A master’s applicant generally needs a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution. The required degree classification or GPA differs by university and programme. Some institutions may consider applicants with lower grades if they have relevant professional experience, while others apply strict academic thresholds.

7. Examine the offer letter.
   Check conditions, tuition, deposit, payment schedule, intake, refund rules and visa-sponsorship terms.

   Follow the written instructions for attestation, registration, residence sponsorship, medical testing, insurance and Emirates ID.

Understanding Conditional and Unconditional Offers

A conditional offer means the university is prepared to admit you only if you complete listed requirements. These may include final results, a minimum English score, attested documents, a deposit or proof that you completed your current qualification.

An unconditional academic offer generally means the stated academic conditions have been satisfied. It does not remove immigration, financial, registration or document-verification requirements.

University Admission and the UAE Student Visa

Admission and residence permission are separate processes. A foreign student enrolled at an accredited institution may be sponsored for a student residence permit by the educational institution. The sponsor normally guides the student through the applicable immigration process.
